Sanet Vision

Since founded in 1908, the Montreal Association for the Blind (known today as the MAB-Mackay Rehabilitation Centre) has been a leader in the country in service for people with visual impairments, helping them to develop the life skills and strategies that empower them to lead fulfilling and independent lives.

As part of its continuing commitment to remaining on the cutting edge of its expertise, the centre recently added the Sanet Vision Integrator technology to its toolkit of training tools.

This pioneering and versatile device has elevated the centre’s ability to support client in the development of essential visual skills, hand-eye coordination, and compensatory abilities. By following a progressive program of individualized vision "exercises," the individual can recognize and become aware of their vision loss, and help them learn to use their residual vision more efficiently. In the short time since the Sanet has arrived at our centre, its impact on the safety, independence and quality of life is already beginning to show results.

We thank our valuable funding partner, the Mar-kin Foundation, for recognizing the benefits of this new technology for rehabilitation therapy and its benefit for people facing vision loss.
